Three projects were awarded the Vietnam National University, Hanoi Science and Technology Prize in 2014.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities has three scientists who received these awards. They are:

- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim with the work "Van Don - Vietnam's International Commercial Port" - Awarded the Outstanding Science and Technology Project of Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2014.

- MSc. Bui Huu Tien with the work "Ceramic Patterns of Dong Dau Culture" - Award for Young Scientists in Science and Technology at Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2014.

- Dr. Nguyen Tuan Cuong with his work "Reforming the Structure of Vietnamese Nom Script" - Awarded the Young Scientist Science and Technology Work Prize of Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2014.

The VNU Hanoi Outstanding Science and Technology Award is presented annually to encourage and honor the contributions of scientists, contributing to building a favorable scientific environment and promoting the development of VNU Hanoi's science and technology potential. The Young Scientist Science and Technology Award, in particular, is presented every two years, for promising science and technology projects whose authors are under 35 years old.
