Forty-six doctoral candidates successfully defended their dissertations and received their PhDs this year. These candidates belong to the following fields of study at the University: Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism, Modern and Contemporary Vietnamese History, Ancient and Medieval Vietnamese History, Modern and Contemporary World History, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Folklore, Vietnamese Literature, Literary Theory, North American Literature, Linguistics Theory, Comparative Linguistics, Linguistics of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities, Social Psychology, and Sociology. Among them, one Chinese doctoral candidate received a PhD in Linguistics Theory.

On behalf of the university leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector of the University) delivered a congratulatory speech to the new PhD graduates.
The speech affirmed the University of Social Sciences and Humanities' goal of developing into a research university, continuously improving the quality of training and research, and expanding international integration, aiming to be among the top 100 universities in Asia by 2030. With a 70-year tradition of development, the University is proud to have a leading team of scientists, with prestigious scientific awards both domestically and internationally. The outstanding achievements and established position are largely due to the significant contributions of the scientists and postgraduate students who have graduated from this institution.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh also stated that receiving a doctorate marks a successful research and learning journey, with commendable individual efforts, but it also opens a new chapter for the new PhDs. This is a stage where PhDs need to delve deeper into their research directions, become more mature and experienced in their careers, and develop their abilities to continue making valuable contributions to the practical development of the country.
The university leadership is also committed to maintaining an open and creative academic environment and always keeping its doors open to welcome PhD graduates back to the university with high-quality and effective collaborative scientific research projects.
