Kasetsart University
On the morning of August 4, 2017, Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Principal of the University), Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh (Head of the Faculty of Linguistics), Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Binh (Deputy Head of the Faculty of Linguistics) had a meeting with representatives of leaders and students of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University, Bangkok, Thailand. Prof. Suppakarn Pongyelar, representing the Faculty of Social Sciences, proposed the possibility of cooperation in exchanging students, lecturers, and short-term ASEAN study tour programs. The Faculty of Social Sciences of Kasetsart University is currently training students in Vietnamese language, and in the near future, plans to send students to study and do short-term internships. Kasetart University is a university in the top 10 universities in Thailand, ranked 129th in Asia, and 701st in the world (According to topuniversities.com 2017).

Chulalongkorn University
On August 5, 2017, PHTr. Hoang Anh Tuan continued his working trip to Chulalongkorn University. Prof. Bhawan Ruangsilp - Head of the History Department, School of Social Sciences welcomed the delegation. The two sides discussed the possibilities of cooperation in exchanging students and lecturers for historical research programs, ASEAN research, and short-term Vietnamese language training. Chulalongkorn University is the top university in Thailand, ranked 252nd in the world, and 45th in Asia (according to topuniversities.com 2017).

Thammasart University
On August 7, Vice President Hoang Anh Tuan had a working session at Thammasart University, Rangsit campus, Bangkok, Thailand. Receiving the delegation were Vice President Pornchai Tarkulwaranont in charge of International Cooperation and representatives of the Faculty of Social Sciences and related units. The two sides discussed cooperation in the field of Vietnamese language training, student exchange in Southeast Asian studies, and exchange of research scholars. Thammasart University is one of the top 3 universities in Thailand (after Chulalongkorn University and Mahidol University), ranked 101st in Asia, ranked 601-650 in the world.

Mahasarakham University
On the morning of August 8, 2017, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh (Head of the Faculty of Linguistics) led a delegation from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to visit and work at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Mahasarakham University (Northeast, Thailand). During the meeting, representatives of the two faculties expressed their desire to cooperate by proposing to send Vietnamese language students to Hanoi to study in 2018, implementing short-term study tour programs, opening up many forms of exchange, creating opportunities for students of the two schools to study and experience abroad. In recent years, Mahasarakham University has gradually become a center for Vietnamese language training in Thailand, recruiting 40-60 undergraduate students in Vietnamese language every year.

Ubon Ratchathani University
On the morning of August 9, Head of the Faculty of Linguistics, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chinh continued his visit to Ubon Ratchathani University (UBU) (Ubon Ratchathani Province, Northeastern Thailand). Welcoming the delegation were Vice President in charge of international cooperation, Prof. Sirintip Boonmee, Head of the Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof. Preeyaporn Charoenbutra, and representatives of the Faculty of History, Faculty of Political Science, Vietnamese and English departments. In the 2017-2018 academic year, Ubon Ratchathani University will send 19 students majoring in Vietnamese to study Vietnamese at the Faculty of Linguistics. At the meeting, representatives of the two schools also proposed many cooperation programs such as student exchange for credit transfer, lecturer exchange, joint organization of seminars, and implementation of study tour programs in English.
