Organizing the 2017 summer political training course for political theory lecturers from universities in the South.

From August 29th to 31st, 2017, in Nha Trang City (Khanh Hoa province), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, in coordination with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Central Propaganda Department, organized the 2017 summer political training course for lecturers in political theory and political education from academies, universities, teacher training colleges, and vocational teacher training schools from Quang Binh province southward. This activity was carried out in accordance with Guidance No. 35-HD/BTGTƯ dated May 22nd, 2017, of the Central Propaganda Department on the 2017 summer political training for lecturers and teachers in the national education system and the initial political orientation for students.

Attending the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2017 summer political training course were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh (Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department), Ms. Dao Mai Phuong (Deputy Director of the Department of Political Theory, Central Propaganda Department); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Quang Viet (Deputy Director of the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Training); and Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities).

The course speakers included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Van Linh – Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Van Phuc - Vice Chairman in charge of the Scientific Council of the Central Party Agencies, and Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh – Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with 5 topics covering the following contents:

Professor Pham Quang Minh delivered a speech at the ceremony.

- New content and fundamental viewpoints in the Resolutions of the Fourth Plenum of the Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress (Resolution on some major guidelines and policies to continue reforming the growth model, improving the quality of growth, labor productivity, and competitiveness of the economy; Resolution on effectively implementing the process of international economic integration, maintaining political and social stability in the context of Vietnam's participation in world free trade agreements; Conclusion on the socio-economic situation, state budget in 2016, socio-economic development plan, and state budget estimates for 2017).

ButThe 2017 thematic study on following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh focuses on preventing and combating ideological and political degradation, moral decay, and lifestyle deviations, as well as "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party, in conjunction with Resolution No. 4 of the 12th Central Committee."Regarding strengthening Party building and rectification; preventing and repelling the decline in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle, and the manifestations of 'self-evolution' and 'self-transformation' within the Party."

ButResolution No. 10-NQ/TW on developing the private economy as an important driving force of the socialist-oriented market economy, adopted at the fifth plenary session of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Resolution No. 11-NQ/TW on perfecting the socialist-oriented market economy institutions, also adopted at the fifth plenary session of the 12th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

- Report on the international and domestic situation and highlights in diplomatic relations during the first six months of 2017.

Classroom view

- Resolution No. 12-NQ/TW on continuing the restructuring, innovation, and improvement of the efficiency of State-owned enterprises of the 5th Conference of the Central Committee of the 12th Party Congress.
