The former Vice President shared memories about the club's founding and the meaningful activities it has been and is currently undertaking.
Established in August 2014, the "For Our Beloved Hoang Sa - Truong Sa" Club aims to connect hearts in society to care for soldiers, families of policy beneficiaries, children of fishermen, and fisheries patrol forces directly operating at sea to contribute to protecting the sacred sovereignty of the Fatherland.

The Vu A Dinh Scholarship Fund and the "For Our Beloved Hoang Sa and Truong Sa" Club have accomplished many things, such as: building schools on islands in the Truong Sa archipelago; awarding scholarships to poor but studious students in disadvantaged areas; awarding scholarships and mobilizing sponsors to support students who are children of naval officers, soldiers, and fishermen in difficult circumstances; organizing visits, giving gifts, and encouraging families of officers and soldiers who sacrificed their lives on Gac Ma Island and the DK1 platform; donating dozens of houses of gratitude to naval soldiers nationwide... After 3 years of establishment, the Club has 69 collective members, nearly 800 individual members, and over 2,000 members connected on Facebook with many meaningful activities focused on the sea and islands, such as raising nearly 22 billion VND in donations, awarding more than 4,000 scholarships...
Former Vice President Truong My Hoa shared that if in war, the measure of patriotism was the choice between life and death, then in today's era of integration, the measure of patriotism is the ability to integrate intellectually and to prioritize the common good over personal interests. The former Vice President also urged young students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to strive harder in their studies to acquire the knowledge and courage to build a prosperous and beautiful country and maintain the peace and territorial integrity of Vietnam.
