“Agricultural production in Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries in the context of Covid-19 and climate change” is the title of the most recent research published within the framework of the project “Towards a new paradigm shift in agricultural development through a Socio-Ecological Transition (SET) approach in science and policy-making (A case study in Vietnam)” in 2021. The project is implemented in cooperation between the Rosa Luxemburg Foundation Southeast Asia, Representative Office in Hanoi and the Institute of Policy and Management, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.

Unlike other publications on the same topic, the book mainly uses the socio-ecological transition approach to identify the emerging issues and challenges facing national agricultural production in the context of the dual impacts of climate change and the Covid-19 pandemic. This is an interdisciplinary approach that is considered a starting point, which can provide solutions to address challenges in agricultural development, overcoming the limitations of input-intensive agricultural systems, especially in the context of efforts to adapt to climate change and the Covid-19 crisis.

The book was published in December 2021 by Lao Dong Publishing House and was respectfully introduced to readers near and far on reputable publishing news sites. With a coherent and concise writing style, the book has provided readers with an overview of agricultural production in Vietnam and Southeast Asian countries in the context of Covid-19 and climate change, thereby assessing the impacts and making policy recommendations for Vietnam in the coming time.
