On May 8, 2020, Professor Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) and representatives from the Cooperation and Development Office met with Mr. Chu Minh (Head of Education Department, Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam).

During the meeting, Professor Pham Quang Minh and Mr. Chu Minh shared ideas and experiences aimed at developing educational cooperation between Vietnam and Taiwan.

The school's principal believes that Vietnam and Taiwan share geographical proximity and similarities in history, culture, language, customs, and traditions. This provides favorable conditions for Vietnamese and Taiwanese educational institutions to promote cooperation in education, an area with significant potential for bilateral relations. As a leading university in social sciences and humanities in Vietnam, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities can contribute to this educational relationship, for example, by acting as a bridge to facilitate more Vietnamese students studying and working in Taiwan.

In response, Mr. Chu Minh stated that the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office highly values ​​the bilateral relationship between Vietnam and Taiwan and always pays attention to promoting cooperation between educational institutions of the two countries. The Office is committed to acting as a bridge to connect the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with universities in Taiwan. In the near future, the Office plans to organize activities to introduce scholarship and study abroad programs in Taiwan to the University's students.
