At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has had a very close cooperative relationship with the Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. Many students from Yunnan province have studied majors such as International Studies, Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University within the framework of the 1+3 and 2+2 training programs. The Vice President wishes to expand cooperation in the field of training to meet the needs of students as well as promote research in areas such as Chinese Studies, Southeast Asia, Vietnam-China relations and focusing on the Mekong Sub-region.

Prof. Vuong Nhung accepted the proposal of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim and said that Yunnan University of Finance and Economics wishes to learn more about the activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He hopes to promote cooperation with the University in the fields of lecturer and student exchange, high-quality training, organizing joint seminars and especially providing scholarships for young postgraduates of the University to study at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. These activities will contribute to the Vietnam-China relationship in general and the relationship between the University and Yunnan University in particular.
In response, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is fully qualified to meet the cooperation proposals of Professor Vuong Nhung. The Vice President hopes that the two sides will keep in regular contact to inform each other of necessary information about cooperation opportunities, through the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation. At the same time, the Vice President also proposed expanding cooperation from bilateral to multilateral with universities in China.
Yunnan University of Finance and Economics - China is a multidisciplinary university. The school is not only strong in training in Economics, Management, Law but also trains in fields such as: Philosophy, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences and Engineering. The school was founded in 1951 and was designated by the Yunnan Provincial Government as one of the province's key universities in 1995.
