During the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has a very close cooperative relationship with Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. Many students from Yunnan Province have studied subjects such as International Studies, Vietnamese Studies, and Vietnamese Language at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University within the framework of 1+3 and 2+2 training programs. The Vice Rector expressed his desire to expand cooperation in the field of training to meet student needs and promote research in areas such as Chinese Studies, Southeast Asia, Vietnam-China relations, and focusing on the Mekong Subregion.

Professor Vuong Nhung welcomed the proposal from Associate Professor Nguyen Van Kim and stated that Yunnan University of Finance and Economics wishes to learn more about the activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He hopes to promote cooperation with the University in areas such as faculty and student exchange, high-quality training, joint seminars, and especially providing scholarships for young graduate students to study at Yunnan University of Finance and Economics. These activities will contribute to Vietnam-China relations in general and the relationship between the University and Yunnan University in particular.
In response, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim stated that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is fully qualified to meet Professor Vuong Nhung's cooperation proposals. The Vice Rector hoped that both sides would maintain regular contact to inform each other of necessary information regarding cooperation opportunities, through the Department of External Relations and International Training Cooperation. At the same time, the Vice Rector also proposed expanding cooperation from bilateral to multilateral with universities in China.

Yunnan University of Economics and Finance in China is a multidisciplinary university. It excels not only in economics, management, and law, but also in philosophy, natural sciences, social sciences, and engineering. Founded in 1951, it was designated as one of the key universities of Yunnan Province by the provincial government in 1995.
