Introducing the Executive Board of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for the 2015-2020 term.

On April 15, 2015, the Faculty of Oriental Studies held a ceremony to introduce the Faculty's Executive Board for the 2015-2020 term. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University) attended the ceremony.

The Dean's Board of the Faculty of Oriental Studies for the 2015-2020 term consists of: Dr. Luu Tuan Anh (Department Head of Oriental Studies), Dr. Nguyen Tran Tien (Deputy Dean), and Dr. Pham Thi Thu Giang (Deputy Dean).

Speaking at the ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Dinh Chinh (former Head of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, 2010-2015 term) expressed his gratitude to the faculty, students, and trainees for their unity and efforts in helping the Faculty achieve remarkable results during the past term. For many consecutive years, the Faculty of Oriental Studies has had the highest entrance exam scores in the University. Over 90% of graduates find employment in their specialized field. The Faculty is highly regarded by society and international organizations, businesses, and foundations, and is considered a reliable partner in training and research cooperation. One of the Faculty's most recent advancements is the accelerated implementation of quality assessment according to AUN standards, gradually approaching international standards. The former Head of the Faculty also shared his expectations for the Faculty's leadership team for the 2015-2020 term, hoping they will lead the Faculty into a new phase of development with even more impressive achievements.

On behalf of the University's leadership, Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh acknowledged the contributions of the previous Dean's Board of the Faculty of Oriental Studies. The Faculty has achieved outstanding results in training, scientific research, and international cooperation. The faculty members are well-trained, with the majority having received their education abroad. With the new leadership team being young, dynamic, and dedicated, the University's leadership expressed confidence in the Faculty's future development.

Associate Professor Pham Quang Minh proposed that the new Faculty Board focus on key tasks: building a highly qualified staff; fostering unity and solidarity among the five departments representing the five specialized development directions pursued by the Faculty; and developing concrete solutions to elevate the academic disciplines to a new level regionally and internationally. The Faculty should become a key member of regional research associations, promoting international exchange and publication activities. Graduates of the Faculty should aim to meet the recruitment standards of the international labor market.

On behalf of the new Faculty Board, Dr. Luu Tuan Anh expressed gratitude for the contributions of previous generations of leaders and urged the faculty, students, and trainees to continue to unite and strive for the common development goals of the Faculty in the future.
