Administration 4 - 2 Tourism: A hat-trick named after striker Nguyen Van Thuy

Despite being pegged back to 2-2 at one point, the Faculty of Administration's team showed their mettle by winning 4-2 against the Faculty of Tourism Studies team, becoming the first team to reach the semi-finals. Striker Nguyen Van Thuy had a brilliant performance, contributing 3 goals for the Faculty of Administration's team.

Journalism & Media 2-1 Library Information:The battle to prolong dreams

The second quarter-final match of the UCL concluded with a 2-1 victory for the Journalism and Communication Faculty team. On a day when both teams were evenly matched, only a bit of luck allowed the Journalism and Communication Faculty, after many years, to reach the final four.

Minh Phúc's (number 14) golden goal helped the Faculty of Journalism and Communication overcome the Faculty of Information and Library Science.

Sociology 7-0 International Studies: A stroll in the C500

As expected, the match between Sociology and International Studies unfolded as a one-sided affair, heavily favoring the defending runner-up from the previous season. Facing an opponent far superior in technique and tactics, International Studies had to accept a heavy defeat and exit the tournament.

Facing a superior opponent in every aspect, QTH proactively chose a defensive style of play to minimize the opponent's attacking power. However, under the constant pressure from the reigning runner-up, QTH was unable to maintain their concentration. In just 5 minutes (15 to 19), Bui Van Manh single-handedly scored a brace, giving XHH a comfortable 2-0 lead in the first half.

In the second half, QTH players were forced to push forward in search of an equalizer. Switching from defense to attack, QTH quickly became overwhelmed by XHH's short-passing style of play. QTH quickly lost stamina and revealed many weaknesses. In the second half, XHH continued to score five more goals against QTH.

Despite their best efforts, the International Studies (yellow jerseys) defense could only watch as the Sociology players showcased their skills and scored.

Literature 2-1 Management Science: The Earthquake Called Literature

The Faculty of Literature team caused a major upset by defeating the Faculty of Management Science, who were confidently surging forward. Known for their undefeated record since the start of the tournament, the Faculty of Management Science entered the quarterfinals with their usual playing style. Van Hoa and Duy Phong were on the wings, Minh Phuc played as the deepest midfielder; captain Trung Kien controlled the midfield; and the "Dang Sac + 1" tactic (Van Ky, Xuan Tung, and Duy Thai always took turns playing as strikers alongside Dang Sac).

This style of play might work well against attacking opponents like the Sociology or History departments, but when facing a team with a skilled center-back and a solid defensive approach to attack, like the Literature department, its ineffectiveness becomes apparent.

Against an opponent who relies on physical strength and power, Management Science shows signs of confusion, and when the opponent has a striker who excels in aerial duels, Management Science reveals its sluggishness in devising a counter-strategy.

The Management Science team was good, but couldn't have been any better. As for Literature, they had already improved compared to their group stage performance, and that's why, in this quarter-final match, they created an upset, burying the Management Science team.

The aerial prowess of the number 9 striker from the Literature team was a nightmare for the Management Science team in the quarter-final match.
