The Student Scientific Research Conference of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for the academic year 2014-2015 took place on May 7, 2015.
This year, 1,161 students participated in the scientific reporting program, accounting for 21.32% of the total student body. There were 909 scientific reports submitted from various faculties and departments within the university.
Student research activities have been a cherished tradition at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities for many years. This provides students with opportunities to practice and hone their research skills, as well as learn to think and work independently. These activities contribute to improving the quality of education, especially in the context of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities developing towards a research-oriented university, with research as the central activity to enhance the quality and effectiveness of other aspects of its operations.

This year's student research projects are considered diverse and rich in research topics. Besides theoretical issues, the topics focus on many practical issues in life, current events, and society. The number of first and second-year students participating in scientific research is increasing. Students are also investing more effort and dedication into their research projects and presentations at conferences.
At the conclusion of the Conference, the best research projects and the departments and faculties with the best achievements in student research activities were awarded prizes. Specifically:

Team award:
- 1st Prize: Department of Linguistics
- 2 Second Prizes: Faculty of Oriental Studies, Faculty of Journalism and Communication
- 3 Third Prizes: Department of History, Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, Department of Library and Information Science
Following the opening session, the Conference worked in four subcommittees:
Subcommittee 1: Department of History, Department of International Studies, Department of Oriental Studies, Department of Political Science.
Subcommittee 2: Department of Philosophy, Department of Psychology, Department of Sociology, Department of Anthropology.
Subcommittee 3: Faculty of Journalism and Communication, Faculty of Literature, Faculty of Linguistics, Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language.
Subcommittee 4: Faculty of Tourism Studies, Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, Faculty of Management Science, Faculty of Information and Library Science.
At the end of the conference, the school awarded 20 first prizes:
