At the meeting, in addition to discussions on faculty and student exchanges and strengthening cooperation, the Academy of International Exchange hoped to restart the 2+2 joint training program with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. However, due to legal obstacles on the Vietnamese side, this program did not receive the approval of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

After further discussion with the delegation, Ms. Duong Tinh proposed a 3+1+1 joint training program (3 years of study in Vietnam, 1 year of study in China, and 1 year of master's studies also in China), which included training in Chinese language, and received a positive response from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This training program was considered suitable for students majoring in Chinese Studies in the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the University, and furthermore, studying under this joint training program would help students shorten their postgraduate studies from 1.5 years to 1 year.
