Attending the Conference, in addition to lecturers, students, HVCH, and PhD students of the Department, on the side of the School, there were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh, Vice Principal of the School and leaders of the Training Department, Postgraduate Training Department, Political Affairs and Student Affairs Department, Foreign Affairs and International Training Cooperation Department, Inspection and Legal Affairs Department, Faculty of History, Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Language, Museum of Anthropology, Center for Quality Assessment.
On the side of the partner units outside of Hanoi National University, there was the participation of Associate Professor, Dr. Vuong Xuan Tinh, Director of the Institute of Ethnology, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Thieu, Deputy Director of the Museum of Ethnology and scientists participating in the training work of the Department.
The conference listened to the summary report on undergraduate training in Anthropology by the Department Board, reports on teaching practices, internships, and scientific research by teachers and scientists.

The discussion part of the Conference was lively, with many comments on training work in all contents (training programs, subjects, learning materials, research, internships, cooperation, etc.) now and in the coming years.
The conference concluded that over the past 5 years:
- The Department of Anthropology has proactively made efforts to build and perfect the system of undergraduate and graduate training programs in Anthropology, implementing training for 6 undergraduate courses in Anthropology, of which 2 courses have had high graduation rates.
- The Board of Directors and functional departments of the School have created many favorable conditions to help the Department complete its mission of training a new major in Vietnam with high quality.
- Some teachers in some units in the School such as the Faculty of History, Faculty of Linguistics, Faculty of Philosophy, Museum of Anthropology, etc. along with some scientists in agencies in the industry such as the Institute of Ethnology, Museum of Ethnology, etc. actively supported and participated effectively to help the Department implement the training program more smoothly and sustainably.
- Developed from the foundation of the major of Ethnology, the undergraduate training program in Anthropology has become one of the key basic science training majors of the School, promising important contributions to the cause of science and technology, construction and development of the country.

On that basis, the key directions of the Department in the coming time focus on the following tasks:
- Continue to promote the building and development of the teaching staff associated with promoting scientific research as a foundation to promote and improve training quality.
- Continue to adjust, update and perfect training programs and course outlines.
- Speed up the compilation of lectures and textbooks.
- Continue to supplement reference materials directly serving research, teaching and learning activities.
- Implement internationalization of some subjects in English.
- Strengthening scientific research of lecturers and students
- More effective implementation of practical training
- Promote innovation in teaching, testing and assessment methods
To effectively implement the above tasks, the Department recommends to the School:
- Early establishment of the Faculty of Anthropology
- Priority support for lecturer recruitment
- Create conditions for the Department of Anthropology to compile lectures, compile and publish a number of basic and specialized textbooks.
- Raising the level of training support for Anthropology
- Increase scholarships to encourage Anthropology students.
