On October 17, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and AEON Group (Japan) signed an official cooperation agreement and awarded the first 15 scholarships to the school's students.

On October 17, 2012, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and AEON Group (Japan) signed an official cooperation agreement and awarded the first 15 scholarships to the school's students.Attending the ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Mr. Konishi Yukio - Chief Representative of AEONMALL Office, Mr. Motoo Tomomura - General Secretary of AEON 1% Club, Mr. Yasuo Nishitoghe - Head of AEON Vietnam region. According to the agreement, AEON will support scholarships for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with a value of 290 USD/student. The subjects are third-year students in the majors of Japanese Studies, Journalism and Communication, International Studies, Literature, History, Sociology, Psychology, Library Information, Tourism Studies. From the 2013-2014 school year, it is expected that 30 students will receive AEON scholarships each year. Students who have received this scholarship will also be given priority for internships and work at AEON facilities.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim expressed his gratitude to AEON Group for supporting students' learning and paying attention to the training work of the School. He also said that with a business perspective that ensures harmony between economic benefits and contributing to the development of education and social security, AEON Group will achieve many successes and receive recognition and good evaluation from society and the community. In the future, the School is ready to cooperate and share common interests with AEON Group through many cooperative activities between the two sides. Mr. Yasuo Nishitoghe - Head of AEON Vietnam - said that AEON 1% Club receives funding from 1% of pre-tax profits of companies in the AEON Group, from which it implements many activities on cultural exchange, international student exchange, environmental protection, local social and cultural reconstruction, talent training, etc. Since 2012, AEON has awarded scholarships to university students in Hanoi, starting with scholarships for excellent students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to encourage them in their studies and research. After the signing ceremony, AEON awarded the first scholarship to 15 students with high academic achievements in the past school year.
