Student scientific research activities are closely linked to their studies and have achieved good results. In the 2013-2014 academic year, 23.79% of students participated in scientific research with 976 projects. Among these, one project won the Third Prize in the "Young Scientific Talent" competition of the Ministry of Education and Training, and two projects won the "Student Scientific Research Award of Vietnam National University, Hanoi".
In addition, 1,641 students received academic scholarships and social welfare grants, and 199 students received scholarships sponsored by domestic and international organizations.
For young faculty members, most teachers simultaneously hold multiple positions, encompassing both professional and organizational/administrative responsibilities. However, these young faculty members have achieved remarkable success in both teaching and research. This is reflected in the quantity and quality of lectures, research projects, and scientific articles published in domestic and international scientific journals. 100% of the basic-level research projects undertaken by young faculty members are doctoral and master's degree programs.
Among the 61 new party members, there are 14 young cadres and 47 students, an increase compared to the previous academic year.
At the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) delivered a speech commending the achievements of outstanding young people, affirming that these excellent individuals have made a significant contribution to the overall achievements of the University as exemplary figures, spreading influence and promoting teaching, learning, and research activities in a more positive direction.
