The Chung-Soo Scholarship Foundation of Korea was established in 1962 by the late President of Korea Park Chong Hee, with the aim of nurturing talents to serve the economic and social development of Korea. Over the years, the Foundation has expanded its activities to countries around the world to contribute to the development of human resources in a number of countries.

Speaking at the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. Kim Sam Cheon shared information about the Chung-Soo Scholarship Fund, emphasizing the Fund's purpose of contributing to the training of human resources and talents to serve the development of the country. Vietnam is a country rich in potential with intelligent and hardworking young people, which has attracted the attention of the Fund. Mr. Kim Sam Cheon expressed his hope that the Fund's support will help Vietnamese students overcome difficulties to study and advance in life, using their intelligence and enthusiasm to contribute to the development of the country.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, on behalf of the school's leaders and students, expressed his gratitude to the Chung-Soo Foundation. Since 2007, the Foundation has accompanied the school's students for 8 years, awarding thousands of scholarships to outstanding students. The Chung-Soo Scholarship has become a source of spiritual encouragement and material support for many generations of students.
In the 2014-2015 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities awarded Chung-Soo scholarships to 80 students from 16 affiliated departments and faculties.
