The Chung-Soo Scholarship Foundation of South Korea was established in 1962 by the late South Korean President Park Chong Hee, with the aim of nurturing talent to serve the economic and social development of South Korea. Over the years, the Foundation has expanded its activities to countries around the world to contribute to human resource development in a number of nations.

Speaking at the scholarship award ceremony, Mr. Kim Sam Cheon shared information about the Chung-Soo Scholarship Fund, emphasizing the Fund's mission to contribute to the training of human resources and talents for national development. Vietnam, a country with great potential and intelligent, hardworking young people, has attracted the Fund's attention. Mr. Kim Sam Cheon expressed his hope that the Fund's support will help Vietnamese students overcome difficulties in their studies and thrive in life, using their intellect and enthusiasm to contribute to the development of their country.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Kim, on behalf of the university's leadership and students, expressed gratitude to the Chung-Soo Foundation. Since 2007, the Foundation has supported the university's students for eight years, awarding thousands of scholarships to outstanding students. The Chung-Soo scholarship has become a source of encouragement and material support for many generations of students.
In the 2014-2015 academic year, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities awarded Chung-Soo scholarships to 80 students from 16 faculties and departments.
