On March 13, 2009, within the framework of the Youth Union meeting of the Head Office, the members listened to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phung - Deputy Head of the Department of Archival Science and Office Administration - talk about "Culture of behavior in communication of civil servants in the workplace".
The discussion focused on the main contents: What is behavioral culture (VHUX) in communication? Principles and standards of behavioral culture in communication at the workplace? Cultural level is one of the special measures to evaluate the value of an individual or community. On the other hand, VHƯX is also the most recognizable manifestation, easily creating a good or bad impression of an individual or agency right from the first contacts, thus greatly affecting the work results of that individual or group. The presentation also emphasized the necessity of having standards of VHƯX in communication at the workplace as principles to ensure the consistency of individual behavior in a common community, consolidating a group to create internal strength as well as a separate brand for that group. It is no coincidence that VHUX in communication is one of the basic issues mentioned in the Office Culture Regulations issued by the Prime Minister in 2007 and is a content of administrative reform.
Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phung also gave suggestions from general principles of communication and behavior in the workplace to specific principles of behavior with superiors, subordinates, colleagues, specific customers, and behavior in the surrounding working environment. In addition, some manifestations of VHUX in the workplace such as dress, language, gestures, speech... must also be focused on and follow specific standards. To behave properly in the workplace is not easy but not impossible. Some secrets to success in communication, helping individuals complete their work well and enhance their self-worth such as: always knowing yourself and understanding others, being confident and respectful of others, playing the right role, being able to control conflicts, not always going to the end of the truth...

How to give effective advice to colleagues? What to do when colleagues misunderstand? What to do when leaders are hot-tempered? How to improve relationships after conflicts occur?...
The discussion brought meaningful messages not only in the scope of VHUV in the workplace but also extended to VHUV in life. And as Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Thi Phung said at the end of the talk: “Behavior is a story with many solutions but no ending. Each person should strive to become an excellent actor with many different roles on the stage of life. The important thing is that we are aware of our own value, aware of our position and responsibility in a group, always confident and eager to contribute our abilities to the common success of that group”.
