Announcement of the 2nd conference “Research and teaching of Vietnamese and Chinese language and culture in East and Southeast Asia”

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) and Guangxi University for Nationalities (China) will organize this conference on November 6 and 7, 2009 at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The workshop is an opportunity for researchers and teachers of Vietnamese and Chinese languages ​​and cultures to present their research results and teaching experiences in areas related to the workshop's theme; at the same time, it creates opportunities for them to exchange and discuss academic knowledge with colleagues. The workshop is also an opportunity for experts to meet and discuss in order to enhance research and teaching coordination between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, with Guangxi University for Nationalities, China, as well as between other training institutions in East and Southeast Asia.

Reports submitted to the conference will be arranged for presentation in 4 specialized subcommittees:

1. Research on Vietnamese language and culture,
2. Study of Chinese language and culture,
3. Teaching Vietnamese language and Vietnamese culture,
4. Teaching Chinese Language and Culture.

This is an international scientific conference held every two years, alternately in Vietnam and China (the first time was held at Guangxi University for Nationalities - China in November 2007).

The Organizing Committee of the Conference respectfully invites scientists and teachers from research and teaching institutions of Vietnamese and Chinese languages ​​and cultures to write articles and attend the Conference. The Organizing Committee would like to express its gratitude and hope to receive the support of many researchers and teachers of Vietnamese and Chinese languages ​​and cultures from Vietnam, China and internationally.

The main languages ​​used in the Conference are Vietnamese and Chinese.
