The club's mission is to disseminate and promote the Party and State's guidelines, policies, laws, military and national defense policies, and the people's national defense system, as well as the Army's policies and regulations, through publications of the People's Army Newspaper to students and the general public. It serves as a gathering place for young people who love journalism, are enthusiastic readers of the People's Army Newspaper, and wish to contribute articles to the newspaper's publications and offer suggestions to improve the quality of the People's Army Newspaper in both content and form. In addition, the club will organize internships and practical training for students at the newspaper, and invite staff and reporters from the newspaper to give talks to students about journalism.

The club's chairman is Comrade Luu Cong Luat – Secretary of the Faculty of Literature's Youth Union. The Executive Board will be responsible for maintaining the content, format, and schedule of the club's activities, managing operations, and acting as a bridge between students of the Faculty of Literature and the newspaper.
This is the first People's Army Newspaper Reading and Writing Club established at a university. The club's creation is significant in connecting young people interested in journalism with one of the Army's oldest and most authoritative newspapers, helping them hone their writing skills, and thus expanding career opportunities for Literature students.
