Congress of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities: Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity - Development - Humanity

The Congress was honored to welcome the leaders of the Trade Union of Hanoi National University, delegates from the Trade Unions of universities under the Trade Union of Hanoi National University, universities in the Trade Union cluster of 5 universities in Hanoi that have close and effective cooperative relationships in trade union activities; comrades in the Party Committee, the School Board of Directors; the Youth Union, the Student Association of the school; former leaders of the Trade Union of previous terms.

The Congress listened to the Summary Report of the 2023-2025 term and the orientation for the 2025-2030 term, and the Review Report of the Executive Committee. The 2023-2025 term of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities Trade Union took place in the context of the University promoting university autonomy, restructuring the organization and strong digital transformation. Although it only lasted two and a half years, with consensus, unanimity, dedication and responsibility, the University Trade Union has comprehensively completed the set goals in all areas of operation.
The Union fully implements the study and implementation of resolutions and policies of the Party, the State and the superior Union. Propaganda activities are innovated with the application of technology, helping to spread information quickly and accurately and create consensus among the staff and workers. Thematic activities and programs to celebrate major holidays are solemnly organized, contributing to fostering political awareness and educating traditions to staff and workers in the whole school.
The Trade Union closely coordinates with the School in building and monitoring the implementation of policies; cares for the health of employees through regular health check-ups; visits and supports those who are sick or in difficulty; and effectively maintains the "Humanity" Fund. The care activities take place promptly and practically, demonstrating concern for the lives of each employee.
The union does not replace the government but accompanies it in organizing many professional seminars and supporting lecturers to improve their teaching and research capacity. Programs on digital transformation and AI application are strongly implemented, demonstrating the quick adaptability and innovative spirit of the union team.
The Union maintains and organizes many competitive activities, exchanges, art performances and traditional sports tournaments, achieving many successes at the Hanoi National University level. These activities not only improve health and spirit but also contribute to creating a friendly and united cultural environment.
The Union has implemented many activities for female employees such as talk shows, seminars, honor programs and skill training, attracting a large number of participants and creating positive spillovers throughout the School. The Union actively participates in community programs such as visiting wounded soldiers, supporting disaster areas, giving gifts to students in disadvantaged areas, etc., which are always given attention and implemented annually, thereby clearly demonstrating the spirit of humanity and profound social responsibility.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thao - President of the Trade Union of Hanoi National University acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the University Trade Union in the past term. She emphasized that the University Trade Union has affirmed its strong capacity in areas that are not considered to be the strengths of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, especially technology, digital transformation and AI application in trade union activities and expertise. This is a clear demonstration of the spirit of innovation, dynamism, creativity and professionalism of the University's trade union staff and civil servants. The activities of the University Trade Union are always organized on a large scale, professionally, systematically, and with a strong sense of humanity.
The Congress received 04 in-depth presentations from the departmental unions, focusing on current issues such as university autonomy, improving professional capacity, solutions to connect union members and promoting the role of unions in community activities. These opinions have contributed significantly to building the direction of activities of the School Union in the coming term.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the XXXII Trade Union, consisting of 11 comrades, elected 12 official delegates and 01 alternate delegate to attend the Hanoi National University Trade Union Congress and unanimously approved the Draft Resolution of the Congress.
At the first meeting of the Executive Committee of the new term, the Executive Committee elected the Standing Committee consisting of 03 comrades: Comrade Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh - President of the School Union; Comrade Nguyen Van Thuy - Vice President of the School Union, Comrade Vu Thi Thu Hang - Standing Committee Member. Elected the Inspection Committee consisting of 03 comrades: Comrade Nguyen Van Thuy - Chairman, Comrade Nguyen Tuan Anh - Member, Comrade Trinh Van Bang - Member.
Representing the Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, comrade Ngo Thi Kieu Oanh respectfully thanked the Congress for trusting and electing capable, prestigious, dedicated and responsible comrades to the new leadership of the School Union. She expressed the common will of the Executive Committee to be united, dedicated, creative and determined to successfully implement the Congress Resolution, contributing to building an increasingly strong School.
With the motto "Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity - Development - Humanity"The 32nd Congress of the Trade Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities was a great success, opening a term with many new expectations, contributing significantly to the sustainable development of the University in the new era, the era of national growth.
