The competition was organized by the Youth Union and Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the Faculty of Information and Library Science and the Center for Women's Education and Empowerment (CEPEW). The aim of the competition is to improve information literacy and access to information for more people, especially young people, the future leaders of the country.
The competition, held from January 28th to February 27th, attracted a large number of students from across Hanoi who registered to participate.
Participating teams will implement their projects based on their chosen themes to explore and advocate for the right to access information, focusing on one of the following topics: access to information in education, the environment, elections, food safety and hygiene, health services and healthcare, and privacy.
To participate in the competition, teams must go through preliminary rounds followed by interviews. The seven best teams are selected for the final round, where they will implement their projects within a specified timeframe and regularly report their results to the organizers. At the final night (February 27th), each team will have 15 minutes, including: 7 minutes to present their results and 8 minutes to answer questions from the judges.

The first project to catch the judges' attention in the final round was on the topic of access to information about elections. The project, with its rather witty title, was "Vote Your Way." It was created by Nguyen Khanh Lam, a person with a disability.
Despite travel difficulties, the project conducted surveys and directly recorded student opinions at six major universities in Hanoi. The survey results surprised the judging panel.

Titled "Whose Secret?" - a project on the same theme as the group of four female students from the Archival Studies and Office Management department of the National Economics University also attracted attention during the final night.
