Information technology as a destiny
Thuy shared that her fate with the Information Technology major started in the first semester of her first year of university. At that time, the Head of the Department, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Quy (now the former Head of the Library Information Department) used her essay on the topic "Why did I choose this major?" as an example to analyze in front of the class. After that, she discussed and shared about the major, about work and career future not only for Thuy personally, but also for all the first-year students in the class.
“From a small exercise, the story she shared was so close and simple about the subject that helped Thuy and her classmates have their first and deep feelings about this subject,” Thuy said.
With an entry score that was not impressive compared to other classmates, in addition to the awkward learning process in the first year, there were no outstanding achievements. But thanks to the care and guidance of the teachers, especially Mr. Tran Duc Hoa, the "vibrations" with the department were transformed into "action" efforts throughout the remaining time in the university lecture hall.
“After getting a perfect score of 10 in basic computer science, Mr. Tran Duc Hoa invited and suggested Thuy to participate in the activity of “training on basic computer science for new students”. This was Thuy’s first activity in a new university environment and also an activity that fueled her love for the field of information technology,” Thuy said.
The contents of the activities not only help Thuy consolidate the knowledge acquired in the university lecture hall, help and share her knowledge with other students, but also help Thuy understand more about the field of study. Through the activities with the teachers in the department, the love and affinity for the field of study just grows. In all activities, the teachers always wholeheartedly help and guide, and the Library Information is like a second home on Thuy's university path.

Let fate be the driving force of effort, change and growth.
“The four years of studying and living in the Library Information Department were not long, but they were the most beautiful times of my youth,” Thuy said.
During her four years at university, Thuy enthusiastically participated in the movements and union activities of her faculty and school, such as participating in the book fair organizing committee, the "Up" volunteer project, and participating in the IT skills competition... These activities not only gave Thuy soft skills in the university lecture hall, the opportunity to experience and change herself, but also provided her with moments of youth.
By the time I reached my senior year of college, I had to spend more time completing my studies and less time participating in group activities. I felt a great sense of loss.
“Staying up all night to study and organize activities has become part of my university routine,” Thuy shared.

“If students of the school try to maintain excellent academic performance and enthusiastically participate in union activities, they can receive a lot of training support funding every year from regular study scholarships, scholarships from foreign funding funds, and certificates of merit. This funding is very large and supports them a lot in the process of eating, living and studying,” Thuy said.
Looking back on the journey from "fate" to her second home, the Faculty of Library Information, Thuy shared, "Each major has its own interesting things. To love, to live and grow up with the profession, each of us must experience, live and work with it to be able to feel it. Always be proactive in finding and creating your own passion."
