Unlike other Mondays, after the flag-raising ceremony at the beginning of the week, teachers and students of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities were divided into classes to participate in a flower arrangement competition. “The competition is an opportunity for us to connect more with our teachers. My teacher woke up at 4am to buy flowers for us,” a student of the High Quality Class 1 shared. In the drizzling spring rain, teachers and students of the school chose each flower, cut each leaf to create the most beautiful and meaningful vases of flowers, to give to half the world on the first International Women's Day on March 8 at the school.

In particular, in the presentation, High Quality Class 2 demonstrated their foreign language skills by presenting in both English and Vietnamese. The students greatly admired this performance.

After 30 minutes of discussion and producing satisfactory products, the awards for “Most Creative Idea”, “Best Theme”, “Most Appropriate Theme”, “Spreading Award”, “Vase of the Year” respectively went to the History Specialized, Literature Specialized, High Quality 2, High Quality 1 and Geography Specialized classes. Teachers and students of the school were happy and satisfied with the works of art they created.

At the end of the program, Pham Ngan Giang - representative of the Geography Specialized Class said: "I would like to borrow fresh flowers, full of bright colors, to express my gratitude, which is difficult to express in words, to any woman of any age: thank you for being born as half of the world. I hope every woman will always be as beautiful as this fresh flower. No matter what shape or color you have, always shine proudly in your own way!"
