In his welcoming speech to the Ambassador, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan expressed his admiration and desire to learn about the miraculous development story of the UAE, from a poor country in the desert to a symbol of the modern world. Ambassador Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri then presented on the development of the UAE in relation to the role of youth.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a young country, having only existed for 49 years and having a very small population. The generations who gave birth to this country had a hard and difficult life in the middle of the barren desert, lacking food and resources to develop the country. The founders of the UAE always struggled to find a way to develop into a powerful country, bringing happiness to the people. They succeeded and turned the UAE into an economic center of the world with financial centers, infrastructure, modern technology, tourism, and the most massive projects in the world in a few decades. The UAE has also realized the dream of setting foot in space that the superpowers have done.
Ambassador Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri expressed his admiration for Vietnamese culture when visiting museums in our country; he reminded Vietnamese students to cherish the beauty of Vietnamese culture such as family ties.
Explaining the UAE's miracle story, Ambassador Obaid Saeed Al Dhaheri shared that oil is only part of the driving force for development. More importantly, the leaders of his country have had far-sighted visions and are determined to turn the UAE into a powerful nation. Along with that is the focus on investment in education and knowledge development, with the result being the UAE's remarkable development in science and technology, symbolized by the "Museum of the Future" in Dubai. On the other hand, the UAE has not forgotten to preserve and promote its cultural identity despite the rapid development of technology. In particular, young people are considered to play a very important role in the UAE's development plans and strategies. This is the class that has contributed a lot of their knowledge, intelligence and creativity to the overall development of the country.
School students ask questions to the Ambassador
In Vietnam, the Ambassador believes that young people make up a large proportion of the population, and will therefore become increasingly important to the country's development. For the students of the University, representatives of Vietnamese youth, the Ambassador sends a message that this is a golden time for students to develop themselves. You need to believe that you have the ability to do many great things, as long as you have confidence, know how to seize opportunities, apply knowledge into practice, and learn from mistakes. You need to outline a vision for the future to master your own destiny, and further, the country and the development of relations between the two countries.
