2. Social assistance

2.1.Documents regulating social benefits for students

- Joint Circular No. 53/1998/TT-LT/ BGD&DT-BTC-BLD-TB&XH dated August 25, 1998 of the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs guiding the implementation of scholarship and social allowance regimes for students of public training schools;

- Decision No. 1121/1997/QD-TTg dated December 23, 1997 of the Prime Minister on scholarships and social subsidies for students of public training schools;

- Decision No. 194/2001/QD-TTg dated December 21, 2001 on adjusting the levels of policy scholarships and social subsidies for ethnic minority students studying at public schools;

2.2. Subjects eligible for social benefits and required documents

Social welfare beneficiaries

- Ethnic minority students in mountainous areas

- Orphaned student, no place to depend on

- Students are disabled, handicapped and have economic difficulties

Documents to be submitted

- Certificates of the above mentioned categories issued by competent authorities;

- Copy of birth certificate

- Notarized photocopy of household registration book
