According to information from the Exam Steering Committee, in 2025, more than 2,000 candidates registered to take the entrance exam for grade 10 majoring in Literature, History and Geography at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities. Even in the first exam session, despite a light rain, all candidates were present, on time, strictly followed the exam regulations, and were serious throughout the exam. The first general exam went smoothly, and the exam questions were assessed by the students as being within their ability and closely following the content of the program that they had thoroughly reviewed, so they were very excited to have completed their exam well.
On the morning of May 24, 2025, many parents and candidates were present very early at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
This year, the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities enrolls 140 students in the 10th grade, including 70 students majoring in Literature, 35 students majoring in History, and 35 students majoring in Geography. Each candidate taking the exam must take 3 general subjects: Literature (essay, 120 minutes), Math (multiple choice, 90 minutes), English (multiple choice, 60 minutes) and 01 specialized subject: Literature, History, Geography (essay, 150 minutes). The exam score is calculated on a 10-point scale.
According to the school's plan, the entrance exam will be held on May 24 and 25 (Saturday and Sunday). On the afternoon of May 24, candidates will take the general Math and English exam. On the morning of May 25, candidates will take the specialized exam within 150 minutes.
The organization of the entrance exam for grade 10 of specialized high schools was prepared very carefully and thoroughly by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, ensuring that the exam was conducted seriously, fairly, objectively, and safely for candidates.
The exam steering committee of Hanoi National University and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities inspected each exam room.
Nearly 300 staff, lecturers and more than 100 students of the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities and volunteer students were mobilized to participate in the organization of the contest.
As soon as they entered the school gate, parents and students were shown umbrellas by students and volunteers, guided to the exam rooms, encouraged, motivated, and created a comfortable and excited atmosphere for the candidates. The system of signs, exam rooms, council rooms, and waiting rooms for parents were carefully arranged, safe, and convenient for the organization of the exam. The school arranged a convenient and airy waiting area for parents to sit and wait while their children were taking the exam.
The candidates finished the Literature exam with excitement and confidence because they had done well in their exam. When they arrived at school or left, they were warmly, kindly and thoughtfully welcomed by the school's volunteer students.
