11. Tóm tắt kết quả mới của luận án:
Một là, luận án đã hệ thống được các đầu tư liệu khá phong phú, đa dạng liên quan trực tiếp đến quá trình Đảng lãnh đạo công tác bảo vệ an ninh chính trị và trật tự trị an ở miền Bắc từ năm 1965 đến năm 1972.
Hai là, mô tả và phục dựng tương đối đầy đủ, khách quan sự lãnh đạo của Đảng đối với công tác bảo vệ an ninh chính trị và trật tự trị an ở miền Bắc từ năm 1965 đến năm 1972, góp phần làm giàu hơn những tri thức, những hiểu biết về lịch sử công tác này cũng như lịch sử cuộc kháng chiến chống Mỹ, cứu nước.
Ba là, luận án đã đánh giá được 4 ưu điểm, 3 hạn chế và lý giải nguyên nhân của các ưu điểm, hạn chế sát hợp với thực tiễn của miền Bắc. Từ đó, luận án cũng đã đúc rút được 5 kinh nghiệm lịch sử có giá trị tham khảo trong quá trình Đảng lãnh đạo bảo vệ an ninh chính trị, trật tự trị an ở miền Bắc từ năm 1965 đến năm 1972.
12. Khả năng ứng dụng trong thực tiễn:
- Luận án cung cấp cho người đọc một khối lượng tài liệu tham khảo tương đối hoàn chỉnh, có tính hệ thống về quá trình Đảng lãnh đạo công tác bảo vệ an ninh chính trị và trật tự trị an ở miền Bắc từ năm 1965 đến năm 1972.
- Những kinh nghiệm lịch sử được đúc rút từ sự lãnh đạo của Đảng đối với công tác bảo vệ an ninh chính trị, trật tự trị an ở miền Bắc từ năm 1965 đến năm 1972 có thể vận dụng vào sự nghiệp xây dựng và bảo vệ Tổ quốc hiện nay.

Firstly, the thesis has systematized rich and diverse materials directly related to the process of Party leadership in the protection of political security and order in the North from 1965 to 1972.
Secondly, the thesis describes and restores relatively adequate and objective the Party's leadership in the protection of political security and order in the North from 1965 to 1972, contributing to the enrichment of knowledge and understanding about the history of this work as well as the history of the resistance war against the US and national salvation.
Thirdly, the thesis has evaluated four advantages, three limitations and explained the causes of the advantages and limitations in accordance with the reality of the North. Since then, the thesis has also drawn five historical experiences that are valuable for reference during the Party's leadership in protecting political security and order in the North from 1965 to 1972.
12. Practical applicability, if any:
- The thesis provides readers with a relatively complete and systematic reference material on the process of Party leadership in the protection of political security and order in the North from 1965 to 1972.
- The historical experiences draw from the Party’s leadership for the protection of political security, order an security in the North from 1965 to 1972 can be applied to the cause of construction and preservance of National defence today.
