On December 1st, 2015, Assoc. Prof.Dr.Pham Quang Minh (Vice Rector) of University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) met and worked with the delegation of the Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages (Taiwan) led by Dr. Hsu Kuei Ying (Taiwan Education Center). Also attending were representatives of the Faculty of Linguistics, Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Languages, Faculty of Oriental Studies and the Office for International Training and Programs.

Assoc. Dr. Pham Quang Minh said that USSH is a leading university in training and research in the area of social sciences and humanities. The university has 16 faculties and 12 research centers with over 12,000 students and training levels. In 1995, the University established the Division of Chinese studies in the Faculty of Oriental Studies and conducted undergraduate to doctoral programs on Chinese studies. Recently, USSH and Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages founded the Taiwan Education Center with its functions to  organize the Chinese language training programs, Taiwan education exhibitions, promote Taiwan education consultancy, to organize The Test of Chinese as a Foreign Language (TOCFL), conduct Vietnam -Taiwan language-culture activities and to act as the glue to connect with Taiwanese universities, and look for the scholarship programs of the Taiwanese government to create opportunities for Vietnamese students to study abroad.

Dr. Hsu Kuei Ying affirmed that University of Foreign Languages Van Tao attached great importance to relations and cooperation between the two universities and proposed to further expand cooperation between the two sides in the future. He recommended a number of collaborative activities such as exchanges of students and faculty, 2 + 2, 3 + 1 programs, teaching Vietnamese at the universities in Taiwan, etc ... Especially in the beginning of next March, the two sides would hold a “Vietnam-Taipei education forum" through the Taiwan education Center. Next, Dr. Hsu Kuei Ying hoped that the center would serve as a bridge between the two universities.

Wenzao Ursuline University of Languages was established in 1966, headquartered in the city of Kaohsiung (Taiwan). The total number of student is of 9,000.
