Training on LMS software: A step further for VNU-USSH students

The training series was attended by more than 2,000 first-year students from all faculties/institutes of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Learning Management System (LMS) is an online software system serving the educational activities of both lecturers and students as well as training management activities. Each lecturer and student is provided with a personal account to create courses and participate in online learning.
MSc. Pham Van Hue - Deputy Head of Training Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities summarizes the benefits of students when using LMS with 8 words: "receive - ask - draft - divide - do - submit - create - practice". That is receiving documents, and notifications, responding; voicing concerns and problems; discussing request needs; sharing documents; taking the test online; submitting the thesis online; establishing a network of classmates (networking); practicing computer skills, software, and information search.
Using LMS will help lecturers and students reduce costs and time; easy and quick access to information; and heighten the initiative, inspiration, and caution in the teaching-learning process. Besides, students will have an environment to have more networks of friends, providing many opportunities to exchange information. At the training session, teachers of the Training Department gave detailed instructions to students on how to use the features of LMS to best serve to learn, search for documents, and take online tests, discussed on the forum...According to MSc. Vu Thi Xuan Huong - Training Department specialist, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, LMS is very easy to use. Should students want to learn more, the LMS system has a detailed section on how to use the software. The school's computer lab in rooms BC 301 and BC 401 will open at 2:30 a.m every day for students who want to practice using the LMS software.
