Center for Contemporary Religious Studies

The Center for Contemporary Religious Studies, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University was established by the Decision no 2265 QĐ/XHNV-TC dated September 17^th 2007 of the Rector of USSH. It is tasked with studying, coordinating, supporting the training and advising of religious issues to serve national socio-economic development and international exchanges and cooperation.

Prominent activities

Each year, the Center invites visiting professors from many countries to teach about issues related to Religious studies and Philosophy. Since 2009, the Center has been regularly conducting annual domestic and international conferences/seminars on the topic of religion, attracting many scholars from Europe and North America as well as other countries in the region. In 2015, the Center held the conference on "Researching and teaching about German thinkers at universities". In 2016, the Center held the international conference "Religion and ethics in modern society". The quality of the conferences were highly appraised by domestic and foreign scholars alike.

In addition, the Center provides 4 scholarships for USSH's lecturers to study abroad on Religious studies and implement training programs related to religion at prestigious universities in Europe and North America.

Từ tháng 11/2015, Trung tâm khai trương thư viện với 1500 đầu sách và tư liệu. Đến nay, thư viện hoạt động khá hiệu quả, giúp bạn đọc tra cứu tài liệu về các vấn đề tôn giáo, tín ngưỡng và lịch sử triết học. Lượng sách của thư viện tăng nhanh hàng năm, đáp ứng nhu cầu nghiên cứu của đội ngũ cán bộ giảng dạy, nghiên cứu sinh, học viên cao học và sinh viên của Đại học Quốc gia.

Since November, 2015, the Center opened a library with 1500 books and other materials. The library has been working efficiently and helping readers to find materials on religious and beliefs issues and the history of philosophy. The number of books increases every year, meeting the requirements of VNU's lecturers, research fellows, students and graduates.
