2. Training Objectives
The Journalism and Media Professional Training Program equips learners with the fundamental and essential knowledge of professional website management on the internet. After completing the course, learners will have the expertise and confidence to work in media and website management at organizations and agencies, and effectively apply the knowledge learned to practical work.
3. Program learning outcomes
3.1. Regarding knowledge
- Master the general knowledge of online journalism, website structure, and the application of programming languages.
- Possess a solid understanding of online marketing principles, social media channel building, design and maintenance of satellite sites; analyze and execute Google Ads and Facebook Ads campaigns.
3.2. Regarding skills
- Professional skills: Proficient in accessing and performing professional tasks such as news source development, interviewing, information processing, photography, article organization, and editing works for online newspapers.
+ Make good use of supporting tools such as: Google Webmaster Tools, Analytics,
+ Acquire skills in writing original and engaging content that fully meets SEO requirements and includes necessary meta tags.
+ Ability to process images by designing or editing from sample images with appropriate size and file size.
+ Ability to manage web servers. Perform regular maintenance and servicing of the website according to basic requirements. Manage existing and future content on the website. Ensure the website always operates stably, minimizing errors that affect users.
+ Statistical data and reports must be fully updated to allow for timely adjustments.
- Personal skills: Able to evaluate modern media products and draw lessons and experiences from them in designing and producing media website products.
- Teamwork skills: The ability to coordinate within a team, always listen to and respect the opinions of team members, ensuring work efficiency and product quality.

The topics are based on subjects in the undergraduate journalism program: Multimedia Communication, Writing Skills for Online Journalism, SEO Techniques and Practice, etc.
The topics may be adjusted or modified by up to 20% of the total course duration based on professional practice and student needs.
6. Forms of assessment and evaluation of learning outcomes for the course:
After 45 hours of instruction providing fundamental knowledge, students will complete a final exam consisting of news reports, feature articles, or interviews for online newspapers. Students will receive a graduation certificate upon meeting the following requirements:
- Attend at least 80% of class time.
- Achieve a minimum score of 5/10 on the final exam.
