1. General information about the training program
- Program name: "Basic communication knowledge"
- Training subjects: High school students in Hanoi who need to improve basic knowledge about media experience
- Training unit: Institute of Journalism and Communication - University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
- Training duration: 75 hours
2. Training objectives
- Provide basic knowledge and skills in communication along with necessary applications for students' study, research, career guidance and community communication.
- Through experiential activities to inspire creativity and future career orientation.
- Contribute to building an advanced and modern educational environment and spreading core values and exploiting the strengths of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the Institute of Journalism and Communication.
3. Training time
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday of the week.
4. Total course knowledge
Total credits to be accumulated are 5 credits (75 periods), including:
+ Theoretical content: 02 credits (30 periods)
+ Practice and experience: 03 credits (45 sessions)
5. Type of diploma awarded
- After completing the course and meeting all the training requirements, students will be awarded a certificate of completion.

7. Teaching equipment
- Using a dedicated studio system, smart classrooms, and modern teaching equipment to meet the learning and teaching needs of the course.
- Practice equipment for students: Multimedia communication equipment (camera, computer, editing table...)
8. Teacher requirements
- Lecturers are experts in the fields of teaching mass communication, public relations, and communication management with a Master's degree or higher.
- Support collaborators are professional personnel working in the field of communications, with profound knowledge and professional skills.
9. Implementation organization
Classes are held directly at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The conditions for certification are as follows:
- Students are not allowed to miss more than 20% of the course duration (including practical training);
- Students have complete essays or final practical products.
- The essay or practical product at the end of the course must score 5 points or higher.
