10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- Researching the process by which the Son La Provincial Party Committee applied the Party's guidelines and viewpoints (during the period from 1991 to 2010) on leading the building of national unity to the practical conditions of the locality.

- Regarding the mobilization of the people and the successful implementation of the province's key tasks from 1991 to 2010, the Son La Provincial Party Committee has conducted assessments and summaries of the implementation process. The doctoral candidate has approached and concretized these into a number of observations, experiences, and analyses of the strengths and weaknesses of the Provincial Party Committee in leading the building of national unity in Son La.

- In addition, the thesis fundamentally compiles, selects, and systematizes documents on the policies and measures of the Provincial Party Committee regarding the leadership in building national unity. From this, it contributes to the research and teaching of history and ideological education for local students during the period of reform.

- This dissertation contributes to providing arguments for formulating policies on building national unity in Son La province.

- Research on the process of Son La Provincial Communist Party Committee implementing the Party's views and policies (from 1991 to 2010) in terms of leading people to build the national unity bloc in the province.

- Research on gathering people to successfully implement key missions of the province during the period from 1991 to 2010. Son La Provincial Communist Party Committee has made the evaluation and summary of the implementation process. I myself have approximately, then concretized into some opinions and experiences, and analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the Provincial Communist Party Committee in the process of building the great national unity block in Son La.

- Additionally in my thesis, I have synthesized, selected and systematized the documents on policies and views of the Provincial Communist Party Committee in terms of the leadership of building the great national unity bloc. As a result, the thesis has contributed to the work of research, teaching history and ideaologically educating for local students in the renovation period.

- The thesis contributes to providing the arguments in making policies of building national unity bloc in Son La province.

- The thesis can be used as reference material for some research fields in Son La.
