- This is the first religious studies dissertation to systematically and in-depth study the role of Buddhist ethics among the people in a specific area (Long Bien District, Hanoi).

- The thesis points out the role of Buddhist ethics in the moral culture of the people of Long Bien district, Hanoi, as expressed through the ethical behavior of two research subjects: Buddhist monks and Buddhist followers.

ButBased on the research findings, this thesis forecasts the trends in the development of Buddhist ethics in Long Bien district in the coming years, thereby proposing solutions and recommendations to promote the positive aspects of Buddhist ethical values ​​among the people of Long Bien district, Hanoi in particular, and the people of Vietnamese society in general.
