10. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:

- From a philosophical perspective, the thesis raises several theoretical issues regarding corporate social responsibility: the concept, characteristics, content, forms, and significance of implementing corporate social responsibility.

- This thesis analyzes the results and limitations of implementing corporate social responsibility in Vietnam today.

- Based on the research results, the thesis proposes several directions and recommendations to promote the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility in Vietnam in the coming time.

11. Practical applications:

- The results of this study can serve as a reference for business managers and stakeholders, as well as the social community, to fully and comprehensively understand the nature of Corporate Social Responsibility. From there, each entity (businesses, social organizations, communities) can work together to promote the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility in their own way.

- This thesis helps managers improve the legal framework and develop policies and decisions to enhance the effectiveness of corporate social responsibility in particular and the development of Vietnamese businesses in general, towards the goal of sustainable development.

- The dissertation also serves as a reference for teaching and learning courses in ethics, social management, etc.

12. Future research directions:

Developing businesses in particular and developing our country's economy in general in a sustainable direction is an objective requirement that our Party and State have affirmed in the country's development strategies; therefore, this dissertation "Corporate social responsibility in Vietnam today Further research is needed in specific areas, and more investment is required in subsequent projects, such as:

- Research on corporate social responsibility in developing human capital, building corporate culture, and training a workforce of entrepreneurs to meet the requirements of national development in the current integration process.

- Develop a separate Code of Conduct with a focus on Social Responsibility for small and medium-sized enterprises in Vietnam.

- Analyze the changing trends in the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in Vietnam to supplement the content on CSR (e.g., national security and defense responsibility).

- Approached from a philosophical perspective, the thesis analyzes some theoretical issues on corporate social responsibility such as: concept, characteristics, contents, forms, and meaning of the implementation of corporate social responsibility.

- The thesis analyzed achievements and limitations of the practice of social responsibility among enterprises in Vietnam in the recent years.

- On the basis of these theoretical analyses, the thesis suggests some directions and advices for enhancing corporate social responsibility in Vietnam in the next stages.

11. Practical applicability, if any:

- The thesis can provide enterprises and related subjects as well as general society a more complete understanding about the essence of corporate social responsibility. From there, each subject (enterprise, social organization, community) in their own way can strive together to strengthen the implementation of corporate social responsibility.

- The thesis helps administrators and managers to perfect the laws, design policies, and make decisions to improve the effectiveness of conducting corporate social responsibility as well as the sustainable development of enterprises in Vietnam.

- The thesis can be used as reference in teaching and studying courses in the field of ethics and social management science.

12. Further research directions, if any:

The sustainable development of enterprises and of the whole economy is an objective requirement which was emphasized in the country development strategy of the Vietnam Communist Party and Government. For that reason, the thesis “Social Responsibility of Vietnamese Enterprises Nowadays” needs to be studied further in the following aspects:

- Corporate social responsibility in the development of human capital, in building corporate culture, and in training businessmen to meet the demands of country development in integration process.

- Constructing aSocial Responsibility Regulationfor enterprises of medium and small sizes in Vietnam.

- Analysis of the tendency of implementation of corporate social responsibility in Vietnam in order to enrich the content of corporate social responsibility (eg national security and national defense responsibility).
