The thesis is the first systematic research work on the role of Vietnamese intellectual elites in the renovation period. Based on official documents published both domestically and internationally, the thesis has built a relatively complete theoretical framework on Vietnamese intellectual elites, contributing to explaining and clarifying their role in the cause of national development and revival. At the same time, the thesis also offers some recommendations on solutions to further promote the role of this group in the next stage of the renovation process in Vietnam.

Based on official data sources have been published both at home and abroad, the thesis has developed a theoretical framework relatively completed about the Vietnamese elite intellectuals, contributed to interpretation and clarification of the role of them for career development and revive the country. At the same time, the thesis also gives a few recommendations to further promote the role of this team in the next stage of the renovation process in Vietnam.
