However, in addition to the successes achieved, there are still limitations in the activities of the National Assembly that affect the role of the National Assembly such as: The law-making capacity of the National Assembly is still limited, the laws are not enough to regulate social relationships, there are overlaps, contradictions and low feasibility; the role of the National Assembly in unifying and assigning state agencies in the exercise of legislative, executive and judicial powers is not yet clearly demonstrated, sometimes contradictory, and not clearly defined in practice; the role of the National Assembly in controlling power in the exercise of state power also has aspects that are not really effective, especially the National Assembly's supervisory activities, although there have been many advances, have not fully met the requirements of the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam today. The National Assembly in its foreign affairs activities has gradually demonstrated its capacity, contributing to promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people to international friends. However, compared to the requirements of the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state, this activity still has certain limitations. Given the above situation, it is necessary to thoroughly grasp the viewpoints, propose directions and solutions to promote the role of the National Assembly in the process of building a socialist rule-of-law state in Vietnam at the present stage.
