Around the world with a gradual increase, the biggest problem affecting the health status of individuals is depression. Depression can occur at any age and severely impairs the social functioning of affected individuals. When it occurs in young adults, it is associated with an increased risk of other mental disorders, suicide or difficulty with social activities, and relapse at a later stage in life. Young adults, in particular, are in a transitional period from adolescence to adulthood, an important transition that requires individuals to fulfill a variety of tasks. By completing these tasks, individuals can increase their life satisfaction. Therefore, mental health support for young adults with depression is necessary, so they can fulfill their life tasks in the best way to enter adulthood.
This study presents several epidemiological studies of adolescent depression and commonly used interventions. At the same time, by combining techniques and clinical tools, the study also evaluated the outcome of psychological support in the case of young adults with symptoms of depression.
