1. History of formation
- The Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, formerly the Department of Archival Studies, was established in 1967 within the Faculty of History, Hanoi University.
- In 1996, due to the increasing societal demand for training in archival and office management personnel, the Department was developed into the Faculty of Archival Studies under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
- In 1997, the Faculty's name was changed to the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, as it is known today.
2. Mission
With its rich history of formation and development, the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management has the mission of being a pioneer and leader in research and training in archival studies and office management in Vietnam.
3. Training Philosophy
- Confident in knowledge, modern in thinking: This educational philosophy helps students build a solid theoretical foundation and stay updated with new knowledge, developing a scientific work mindset with practical application skills – a guiding principle throughout the Faculty's training programs.
4. Development orientation
Continue to maintain and enhance the central role of the Department of Archival Studies and Office Management in research, training, and technology transfer in document management, archiving, administration, and office management to meet the requirements of digital transformation in Vietnam.
