General introduction

1. History of formation

• The Department of Archival Studies and Office Management, formerly the Department of Archival Studies, was established in 1967 within the Faculty of History, Hanoi University.
• In 1996, due to the increasing societal demand for training in archival and office management personnel, the Department was developed into the Faculty of Archival Studies under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
• In 1997, the Faculty's name was changed to the Faculty of Archival Studies and Office Management, as it is known today.
