VNU-USSH is ready to invest in key scientific products.

Speaking at the conference, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the school emphasized that scientific research and training are two pillars of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The school has had many activities to strongly promote scientific research activities of lecturers, students, trainees and postgraduates.
In the context of changing regulations on investment in scientific research activities, the school leaders expect research products to be chained and long-term in the school's general strategy for scientific and technological development. With the viewpoint of unlimited investment in key scientific products, the school encourages scientists to develop in-depth individual research products in parallel with placing individual scientific research activities in the school's general mission.
The school leaders also expect that delegates attending the conference will discuss and propose solutions to promote the development of science and technology, contributing to enhancing the position and reputation of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the next 10 years.

The conference listened to a report summarizing scientific research work in 2024 and discussed and proposed solutions to build a central task plan to promote scientific and technological development of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2025.
Accordingly, in 2024 - 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will publish 54 textbooks, 12 monographs, organize 36 scientific conferences, publish about 400 domestic scientific articles and 165 international articles, of which 85 articles are published in journals listed in ISI and Scopus. Towards the 80th anniversary of tradition and 30th anniversary of the establishment of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the school will publish publications such as the publication "From General to Humanities - Memories of a school", the Social Sciences and Humanities Library with 82 works, etc.
In 2024 - 2025, the school promoted student scientific research activities and achieved a number of results, including many high-level awards from the Ministry of Education and Training and the VNU level. The school also invested heavily in 16 student scientific research topics.
The report sets out the 2025 orientation with three key tasks: publishing quality books, publishing after domestic and international scientific conferences, and promoting international scientific publications.

The conference received many comments and contributions from scientists and leaders of units in developing key scientific research activities. It was emphasized that in the coming time, the school needs to form a social sciences and humanities research ecosystem throughout the school and in each research field, and adjust the process of implementing scientific research appropriately. Promoting the publication of international scientific articles, organizing large-scale scientific conferences with high scientific value, increasing the publication of scientific research works of students and postgraduates, etc. were also issues discussed by the delegates.

Directing at the Conference, Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities hoped that the leaders of the units would spread the sense of responsibility of scientists and lecturers in completing scientific tasks, at the same time connect, share, and build a scientific research community throughout the school to effectively implement the science and technology development strategy of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
The response of lecturers, scientists, students, trainees, and postgraduates in developing scientific work will contribute to the overall achievements of the school in 2025 - a pivotal year in the school's development history.
