Flower offering ceremony to commemorate heroic martyrs on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27

Attending the ceremony were Associate Professor Dr. Pham Cong Nhat - Chairman of the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, comrades in the Veterans Associations of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences, comrade Nguyen Dinh Nam - Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Natural Sciences and the delegates of the Youth Union and the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
 

The delegation's wreath with the words "In gratitude to the heroic martyrs" was placed at the Memorial Monument of the event of cadres and students of Hanoi National University joining the army to protect the Fatherland.

The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the University of Natural Sciences, formerly Hanoi National University, are not only the leading training institutions in the country, with a long history, but also the place where many outstanding students, lecturers and staff of the school put down their pens and went to war when "the Fatherland called their names". Some of them fell and remained on the battlefield, forever at the age of 20; some of them returned but left behind a part of their body, becoming wounded and sick soldiers. Those losses and sacrifices of previous generations are always remembered and expressed gratitude by today's generations. With the tradition of "When drinking water, remember the source", "When eating fruit, remember the person who planted the tree"; the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the Veterans Association of the University of Natural Sciences, in collaboration with the Youth Union and the Student Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, organized a flower offering ceremony to commemorate and express gratitude for the great contributions of the soldiers of the former Hanoi National University to the cause of defending the Fatherland.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Cong Nhat - Chairman of the Veterans Association of the University of Humanities, representing the delegation, spoke, expressing deep gratitude and respect for the contributions and sacrifices of the previous generation: “Standing before the souls of the heroic martyrs, the former students who sacrificed their youth for the homeland, contributing to the glorious tradition of studying, working and fighting of generations of Vietnamese students. We respectfully bow to express our respect and deep gratitude, and pay tribute to the great contributions for the eternal survival of the nation of you, our brothers and sisters. Forever engraved and grateful to the heroic martyrs, the generations of students of the former University of General Sciences who put down their pens and left for the sacred mission of the Fatherland, heroically fighting and sacrificing for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland”.
 

In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, the delegates respectfully offered flowers and observed a minute of silence to commemorate and express their gratitude for the contributions of the heroes, martyrs, and previous generations; especially the generations of cadres and students of Hanoi National University who joined the army to protect the Fatherland. The war has ended, but their images will live forever in the generations of cadres, lecturers and students of the University.
Continuing that glorious tradition, generations of veterans, cadres, lecturers, union members and students of the school will always strive, study, work and fight to further enhance the tradition of the school and contribute to the cause of building and protecting the homeland and country to become increasingly rich and civilized.
