The opening ceremony of the evaluation program was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector of the University); Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trinh Cam Lan (Head of the Department of Linguistics) along with representatives from relevant departments and the entire faculty of the Department of Linguistics.
Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector of the University) delivered the opening remarks and emphasized: "The goal of evaluating the quality of training programs is to identify strengths and weaknesses, in order to find appropriate solutions for the development of each unit in particular and the entire University in general." This has been a regular activity of the University for many years to evaluate and improve the quality of education.

According to Dr. Tran Thi Hoai, head of the expert evaluation team, the leadership of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities highly appreciated the attention and guidance in the peer quality assessment of the training programs at the university. Dr. Tran Thi Hoai stated that the role and responsibility of the expert evaluation team was to work alongside the Faculty of Linguistics in identifying issues according to quality assessment standards. All parties worked in a spirit of frankness, openness, and high responsibility.

Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Cam Lan (Head of the Linguistics Department) briefly introduced the self-assessment report on the standard training program for Linguistics. The entire Department recognizes the quality assessment of training as an extremely necessary and effective task. Through this assessment, the Department can review all aspects of training and better ensure that it meets societal requirements for the field of study offered by the Department. Associate Professor Dr. Trinh Cam Lan also expressed her deep gratitude to the expert team, the University, the departments, and all the staff and lecturers of the Linguistics Department for their encouragement and efforts in completing the report presented to the University Council and the peer assessment council today.

Next, the expert team conducted the following activities: reviewing supporting documents, interviewing key members of the Faculty including: the Faculty leadership, heads of departments, lecturers, and inspecting facilities such as: the Faculty office, classrooms, documentation rooms, and laboratories…
