First PhD Award Ceremony of 2021

On March 26, 2021, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held a doctoral degree awarding ceremony for 75 doctoral candidates in 20 disciplines. Attending the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector in charge of the University) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Rector of the University).
On behalf of the University's leadership, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lai Quoc Khanh (Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) extended warm congratulations to the new PhD graduates for overcoming difficulties and hardships to successfully complete their studies at the University. The Vice Rector expressed hope that in the future, the new PhD graduates will continue to maintain contact with the department, faculty, and the University. As a prestigious and long-standing institution of social sciences and humanities training, the University is committed to always creating optimal conditions for the learning process of its postgraduate and doctoral students. The University will continue to accompany, support, and look forward to the alumni's future academic and research plans.

Graduate students pursue studies in the following fields: Journalism, Political Science, Ho Chi Minh Studies, Southeast Asian Studies, Chinese Studies, Sino-Vietnamese Studies, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, World History, Archival Studies, Vietnamese Language, Comparative Linguistics, Anthropology, Science and Technology Management, International Relations, Psychology, Literary and Historical Literature, Literary Theory, Vietnamese Literature, Folklore, and Sociology.

Professor Hoang Anh Tuan and Associate Professor Lai Quoc Khanh received a bouquet of flowers as a token of appreciation from PhD candidate Duong Huy Duc.

On behalf of the newly graduated PhDs, research fellow Duong Huy Duc (History major) shared that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a place where students can discuss and create knowledge, and receive guidance from professors on knowledge, working methods, and professional experience. The learning and training process at the University has helped the research fellows mature both intellectually and personally. He expressed his gratitude to the entire Board of Directors, lecturers, and administrative and service staff of the University for creating the best learning environment for the research fellows.

Awards presented to outstanding graduate students of the first graduating class of 2021.

The Department of Politics and Student Affairs also announced the decision to award commendations to four graduate students who completed their studies in the first batch of 2021 with outstanding performance: Doan Thi Thu Huong (International Relations major), Nguyen Thi Nhu (Southeast Asian Studies major), Huynh Thanh Loan (World History major), and Le Thi Bich Thuy (Comparative Linguistics major).
