On the afternoon of September 12, 2023, the Exchange Program between the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language (VNH&TV), University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, School of Foreign Languages - Social Sciences and Humanities (NN-XHNV) of Duy Tan University took place at Duy Tan University - Da Nang City.
Representing the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU Hanoi were Dr. Bui Van Tuan - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Literature and Communication, along with Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Trang - Lecturer in the Faculty, and 28 students from the K65 cohort of the Faculty.
Representing Duy Tan University were Dr. Hoang Thi Huong - Standing Vice Rector of the Faculty of Agriculture and Social Sciences and Humanities, Ms. Truong Thi Nhu Hang - Head of the General Affairs Department of the Faculty of Agriculture and Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Nguyen Van Duong - Head of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Dr. Ngo Minh Hiep - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao - Head of the Department of International Relations and Vietnamese Studies, along with numerous faculty members and students interested in attending the program.

The program created opportunities for connection and exchange between the two units, further strengthening cooperation in research and training in the field of social sciences and humanities in general, and Vietnamese studies in particular. During the exchange, both units engaged in interesting professional discussions, shared unique cultural experiences from both regions, and enjoyed lively mini-games. This meeting was a meaningful connection for students from both faculties. They had the chance to interact and learn from each other about the cultures of both regions of Vietnam. From this, the beautiful traditional aspects of the cultures of both regions were also strongly disseminated.
Sharing his thoughts at the program, Dr. Bui Van Tuan said: “This exchange and networking activity is the foundation for future cooperation and support between students of the two institutions. After today's program, I believe that students from both faculties of the two universities will learn many useful things, from academic knowledge to soft skills and cultural etiquette… There will certainly be many more interesting programs in the future to further strengthen the relationship between the two faculties in particular and the two universities in general.” Dr. Bui Van Tuan expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors, the Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences & Humanities, and all the teachers and students of Duy Tan University for their warm welcome and for organizing such a successful exchange program.
Along with the exchange program, the field trip provided an opportunity for Vietnamese students of the K65 cohort to experience, learn about, and research the historical, cultural, and social spaces of the Central region. Through this field trip, students were able to study, survey, research, and evaluate the economic, cultural, and social values of cultural heritage sites in the Central region within the context of current integration and development, such as My Son Sanctuary, Hoi An Ancient Town, and the Hue Imperial City complex, etc.
