According to school leaders, the exam structure was announced early in February 2022 with some adjustments compared to the 2021 exam, such as: the Mathematics exam changed from essay format to multiple-choice format, and the time allotted for the exam was 45 minutes (half the time compared to 2021).
The Literature exam retains its essay format, but the time allotted is 90 minutes instead of 120 minutes as in the previous year; the English exam retains its multiple-choice format, but the time allotted is 45 minutes (compared to 60 minutes in 2021).
In addition, to reduce pressure on candidates, the school has shortened the exam period to one day compared to two days last year.
To be eligible for admission, candidates must take all four exams and not violate the exam regulations. The score for each subject must be 4.0 or higher, and the score for the specialized subject must be 6.0 or higher.
The school selects students based on their total scores, from highest to lowest, until all available slots for each specialized class are filled.
The admission score is the sum of the scores of all subjects on a 10-point scale, with the specialized subject weighted by a factor of 2, and rounded to two decimal places. The school does not add priority points in the admission process.
For the 2022-2023 academic year, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities will not offer direct admission; relevant evidence of students' outstanding achievements will be submitted upon successful enrollment.
Before 5:00 PM on June 10, 2022, the university will announce the exam results, the admission results for specialized classes, and information on admission to high-quality classes on the website of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
