Although the 13 aforementioned majors accept candidates with university degrees from all disciplines, each major has different requirements regarding work experience and specific regulations on the number of supplementary courses required.
For example, the Journalism major (application-oriented) requires candidates to have at least one year of work experience in the field of journalism and media (calculated from the date of graduation to the date of the exam), at least three published and broadcast journalistic and media products on mass media, and to complete 35 credits of supplementary knowledge (with courses on General Journalism and Media, Journalism and Media Theory, Theory and Practice of Print Journalism, Theory and Practice of Radio Broadcasting, Theory and Practice of Television, Theory and Practice of Online Journalism, etc.).

Meanwhile, the Cultural Management major requires candidates to have at least 2 years of work experience in the field of Cultural Management, and also to complete 30 credits of supplementary courses (including modules on the Fundamentals of Vietnamese Culture, World Civilization History, General Management Science, Ethnic Groups and Ethnic Policies in Vietnam, Some Issues Regarding Beliefs, Religions and Festivals in Vietnam, etc.).
For the Science and Technology Management program, candidates must have at least two years of professional experience in one of the following positions: leadership and specialist in science and technology management units of administrative agencies, public service units, political organizations, socio-political organizations; professional social organizations; enterprises of various economic sectors, non-governmental organizations; and must complete 27 credits of supplementary education.
