For example, the Journalism major (applied orientation) requires candidates to have at least 1 year of working experience in the field of journalism and media (from the date of signing the decision to recognize university graduation to the exam date), have at least 3 journalism and media products published and broadcast on mass media, and at the same time, need to complete 35 additional knowledge credits (with courses on General Journalism and Media, Journalism and Media Theory, Print Journalism Theory and Practice, Radio Theory and Practice, Television Theory and Practice, Electronic Journalism Theory and Practice, etc.).

Meanwhile, the Cultural Management major requires candidates to have at least 2 years of working experience in the field of Cultural Management, and at the same time, need to take additional knowledge courses with 30 credits (with subjects on Vietnamese Cultural Foundations, History of World Civilization, General Management Science, Vietnamese Ethnic Groups and Ethnic Policy, Some issues on beliefs, religions and festivals in Vietnam, etc.).
For the Science and Technology Management program, candidates must have at least 2 years of professional experience in one of the following positions: leaders and specialists of science and technology management units of administrative agencies, public service units, political organizations, socio-political organizations; professional social organizations; enterprises of different economic sectors, non-governmental organizations; at the same time, it is necessary to take supplementary knowledge courses with 27 credits.
