On July 17th and 18th, 2026, the second graduation ceremony for 1,206 new graduates will be held at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities Hall, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH). This solemn ceremony acknowledges the academic achievements and dedication of 1,206 new graduates, while also opening a new chapter for these young intellectuals to embark on their journey into life, equipped with knowledge, confidence, and aspirations in the humanities.

Attending the ceremony were representatives from the Board of Directors, leaders of functional departments, faculties, and training institutes; teachers, staff, and employees of the University; and a large number of parents, relatives, and friends of the new graduates.

The impressive achievements of VNU-USSH graduates.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son – Vice Rector of the University – stated that among the 1,206 students recognized as eligible to graduate in the second batch of 2026, some completed their training programs in just three years; many were international students from various countries; 43 students simultaneously received two bachelor's degrees, accounting for 4% of the total graduating students. Notably, 752 students qualified directly for master's degree programs, accounting for 62%; and 81 students decided to continue their studies in postgraduate programs. In addition, 687 students have found employment, representing 57% of the total graduating students in this batch.

These figures not only acknowledge the persistent efforts of the students but also reflect their adaptability, professional competence, and proactiveness in the face of the increasingly demanding requirements of the labor market.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son affirmed that the doors of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will always be wide open to welcome students back to continue their studies, research, and conquer new academic heights. The university also hopes that students will continue to work alongside their teachers in scientific research, professional development, community service, and inspiring future generations of students.

Preparing for a successful life and career with a humanistic identity and aspiration.

In his message to the new graduates, Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son expressed his belief that from a cultured, modern, and liberal educational environment, the new graduates will not only carry with them academic achievements but also cultivate creative thinking, a spirit of innovation, and social responsibility.

The Vice Principal of the school urged the students to bravely write their own life stories; to remain steadfast on their chosen path and to use their intelligence, courage, and perseverance to build their future. In an era of rapid change, each person needs to build their own humanistic identity, knowing how to combine humanistic spirit with science and technology, using humanistic values to make technology more compassionate, and simultaneously leveraging the power of technology to spread good things in society.

Associate Professor Dr. Dang Hong Son also hopes that the students will maintain their composure and "poetic quality" in life. Despite the increasingly hectic pace of modern life, everyone still needs moments of quiet reflection to cultivate peace and a rich spiritual life. He expressed his wish that each future graduate would have "bread and roses"—both a stable career to secure their future and a rich, beautiful, and meaningful spiritual life.

New graduate Nguyen Duong Phuong Anh - Faculty of Literature receives awards and honors as valedictorian

For Nguyen Duong Phuong Anh, the valedictorian of the Literature major, she once set a goal to complete her university program a year early, hoping to make a special mark on her youth. However, on her journey to achieve that goal, she realized that success doesn't necessarily have to start with grand things. It could be creating a small plan and completing it, striving to pass a subject, persistently writing a good essay, or slowly progressing step by step through a vast amount of knowledge.

According to Phuong Anh, it is the ordinary efforts, persistently repeated every day, that lead each student to their goal. When faced with challenges, each person needs to remain calm, plan, and continue moving forward with their own determination.

Vo Huu Thang - Faculty of Politics and International Studies, receives commendation and honor as valedictorian.

For Vo Huu Thang, the valedictorian of the Political Science major at the Faculty of Politics and International Studies, the graduation ceremony not only marks the end of his student years but also opens up a new identity and responsibility.

According to Vo Huu Thang, a bachelor's degree is a recognition of each individual's efforts, and also a reminder of the responsibilities of those with knowledge to their families, communities, and country. In the face of rapid changes in science, technology, artificial intelligence, and globalization, the new graduates urged all, regardless of their work or chosen path, to translate knowledge into action, personal aspirations into meaningful contributions to the nation; to move forward with knowledge, stand firm with courage, and serve with a sense of responsibility.

The school extends its warmest congratulations to the new graduates and their families. We wish you unwavering faith, the preservation of your humanistic values and aspirations, the courage to pursue your dreams, the use of knowledge to serve others, and the growth of gratitude. Wherever you may go in the future, we hope you will always remember the Faculty of Literature Hall, your teachers, friends, and the school that has preserved a beautiful part of your youth.
