Speaking at the meeting, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities affirmed that in the development journey, the school firmly adheres to the educational philosophy of "Cultural - Modern - Liberal" with the core values of "Pioneering, creative, high level, high quality".
Reporting on the organization and operation of the school in 2024 - 2025 and the orientation and key tasks for the 2025 - 2026 school year, the President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities emphasized 05 key tasks. These are restructuring the apparatus in the direction of streamlining - compactness - strength, modern university governance to ensure university autonomy; training staff, attracting scientific talents to develop excellent leading experts, a community of excellent lecturers, a team of good and dedicated managers, professional and serving administrative staff.
In the 2025-2026 school year, the school plans and develops the industry structure and training programs in the direction of multi-disciplinary, interdisciplinary, cross-field, internationalization, basic science towards application to provide a team of highly qualified human resources for the new development era of the country. Continue to promote international publications in harmony with national publications, implement key - long-term scientific programs with clusters of excellent scientific products, aiming for prestigious national and international scientific awards, top policy advice for the central and local levels. Build a financial strategy in line with university autonomy, harmoniously develop Hoa Lac and Thuong Dinh spaces to expand the development space for the school.

Director Hoang Minh Son affirmed that Hanoi National University is not only a university, but also carries a national responsibility. The construction of two national universities (Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) is to become the locomotive, pioneering leader of the higher education system. This responsibility is clearly defined by the Party and the State in many resolutions, including Resolution 71 on "Breakthrough in education and training development" and Resolution 57 on "Breakthrough in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation".
Accordingly, the national goal is to develop 3 to 5 elite universities of international standards, becoming centers for research and talent development. Among these, Hanoi National University must hold a pioneering position. This requires synchronous development in terms of specific mechanisms, key investments, motivation for teachers and learners; expanding the space for digital university development and university autonomy.
The Director of Hanoi National University hopes that in the coming time, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will become the leading center for research, training and policy consultation in the region, not only contributing to preserving and promoting traditional values, but also pioneering in solving new social problems arising in the digital age.
With a team of dedicated lecturers and solid academic background, the School will continue to affirm its leading position in the national higher education system, while making important contributions to the sustainable, integrated and identity-rich development of the country.
During the working session, Director Hoang Minh Son and the delegation visited the Museum of History and Culture, the practice room of the Institute of Journalism and Communication, the High School for Social Sciences and Humanities, met with teachers, students in the classroom, and visited some functional rooms of the school.
