Master of Public Management and Global Governance: Enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of national governance and development creation capacity

It is necessary to build training programs in the new development context of the country.
After nearly four decades since the Doi Moi (Renovation) process (1986), Vietnam has made great strides in its development. The impressive achievements from the Doi Moi process are closely linked to the remarkable progress of national governance. In particular, to continue developing the country, it is necessary to have an elite management team with excellent development creation capacity.
The 13th National Party Congress has raised many new arguments on management in general and in the areas of social life in particular. Implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, from the beginning of its term, the 14th Government has raised the issue of building a creative government. In order to complete the goals and tasks in the coming years and promote the role of the State, the Congress affirmed the need to continue "Innovating national governance in a modern direction, especially development management and social management".
Therefore, it is extremely necessary for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to implement a master's degree program in Public Management and Global Management, which on the one hand directly contributes to training high-quality management human resources, and on the other hand demonstrates the national responsibility to contribute to the construction of a socialist rule-of-law state. Training content meets the practical needs of organizations and businesses.
The Master of Public and Global Management program provides human resources with in-depth knowledge and skills to participate in the operation of the state apparatus, the public authority system and international organizations.
Integrating the advantages of the two majors of public management and global management has been the choice in many advanced countries in training human resources to operate in the national management system with the global management system, because they will be more successful when combining the thinking and professional skills of domestic general management with the requirements and standards in the current global management system.

Political approach - the distinctive highlight of CTĐT
Currently, many universities in developed countries have organized training programs related to public management and global management for postgraduate level. For example, Kennedy School (Harvard University, USA); Victoria University of Wellington (New Zealand); Oxford University (UK); Thunderbird School of Global Management, Arizona State University (USA); Antwerp School of Management (Belgium).
However, in Vietnam, there are currently only a few training institutions implementing a master's program in public management, and no institution has trained in the relationship between public management and global management at the master's level. Moreover, the relevant programs currently available in Vietnam mainly approach public management from the perspective of economic management and law, the interdisciplinary approach between public management and global management under the lens of political science has not received due attention. Therefore, the Public Management and Global Management Program assigned by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to the Faculty of Political Science as the direct training unit demonstrates the philosophy, creates competitive advantages, differences and clearly demonstrates the political approach in public management and global management. This is a unique feature of the program, providing learners with comprehensive, interdisciplinary knowledge and skills, especially those who are and will have a career development orientation associated with leadership and management in the public sector in Vietnam.

The team of domestic and international lecturers participating in the training have the academic titles of professor, associate professor and doctorate, trained in Political Science, Social Management, Management Science, Public Management, International Studies, Administrative Studies, Philosophy, History, etc., ensuring the interdisciplinary nature of the training program. They are also experienced experts, highly competent in research, teaching, consulting and practicing public management and global management.
