At the exhibition booth introducing the scientific and technological potential and the "specialties" in training of VNU, Director Hoang Minh Son directly introduced to General Secretary To Lam the key scientific and technological products that VNU is developing, emphasizing the capacity of basic research combined with application, transfer and commercialization capabilities to serve national priority tasks.
Director Hoang Minh Son emphasized that VNU is constantly making efforts to turn the Central Resolutions into action programs, linking research with local and business needs, expanding product transfer and commercialization, and continuing to develop high-quality training programs in key areas such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, big data, biomedicine, new materials and digital economy.

VNU's exhibition booth focuses on strategic and leading technology products. The semiconductor technology product group introduces thermal imaging chips for security camera systems and dual-use applications, computing chips - microprocessors and specialized sensor lines. The Robotics and Automation product group displays rescue and firefighting support robots and BLife visual communication devices - protected by 05 patents in Vietnam and the United States and transferred to a number of hospitals in the country. The AI and Big Data product group demonstrates software applications in clinical medicine to shorten time and reduce medical examination and treatment costs; in addition, there are results on biotechnology, smart agriculture, advanced materials, sustainable development (recovering precious metals from waste) and Earth science forecasting platforms (landslide forecasting, 4-season forecasting). These exhibitions reflect the research and innovation ecosystem that is being strongly promoted by VNU in accordance with the orientation of Resolution 57-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation development and Resolution 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development.
General Secretary To Lam suggested that VNU continue to affirm its position as a multi-disciplinary university center, an elite training center, the origin of many high-quality, advanced and international standard programs; at the same time, it is a pioneer in implementing major policies on education, science & technology and innovation, contributing directly to the cause of sustainable development and international integration of the country.
Comrade Politburo member, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Comrade Politburo member, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc took souvenir photos with the Board of Directors and leaders of member and affiliated units, and scientists of VNU.
At the same time, at Nguyen Van Dao Hall and connecting points at member units and affiliated units of VNU, more than 2,900 party members attended the National Conference to disseminate and implement 4 Resolutions of the Politburo.
The conference focused on studying and thoroughly grasping 4 important resolutions including: Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation; Resolution No. 70-NQ/TW on ensuring national energy security until 2030, vision to 2045; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development; Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW on a number of breakthrough solutions to strengthen the protection, care and improvement of people's health. The timely dissemination of the resolutions is of great significance, helping VNU officials and party members grasp the Central Committee's viewpoints and orientations, thereby concretizing them into the action programs of each unit. This is a broad political activity, contributing to raising awareness, fostering a sense of responsibility and political determination in the entire Party Committee.
Among the resolutions that have been implemented, Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW on breakthroughs in education and training development has direct significance to the mission of VNU. Implementing the spirit of the resolution, the Party Committee of VNU will continue to promote its pioneering role in fundamental and comprehensive innovation of higher education, international integration, linking training with research and knowledge transfer, contributing to the cause of developing high-quality human resources for the country.
Many lecturers of VNU expressed special interest in Resolution 71 because this is a field directly related to teaching and research work. The Resolution has clearly pointed out the direction of comprehensive educational innovation, in line with the mission of training high-quality human resources and nurturing talents. Many lecturers affirmed that they will concretize the spirit of the Resolution with practical actions: innovating teaching methods, linking lectures with practice, proactively updating new knowledge, actively participating in scientific research, inspiring students to learn and be creative.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quy Thanh, Rector of the University of Education, VNU, said he was deeply impressed by the scale of the Conference when it was held at the National Assembly's Dien Hong Hall and connected online to thousands of points. He emphasized that this demonstrated the special attention and close direction from the highest leaders of the Party and State. The guidelines and policies directly communicated by the highest leaders will help the entire Party and the entire people understand correctly and do correctly. According to Prof. Thanh, although the resolutions this time are aimed at many different areas, there is an overlap, especially between Resolutions 57, 71 and 72. For example, when Resolution 71 affirms that "universities are centers of innovation", this is closely linked to the orientation of Resolution 57 on the development of science, technology and innovation. As a member school of VNU, the University of Education will conduct in-depth research on directly related issues such as governance structure, university autonomy, university finance, and closely follow the Government's action program for effective implementation.
Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice Principal of the International School, VNU, said that Resolution 71 more clearly affirms the role and responsibility of the State in taking care of the people in both education and health. For universities, the resolution considers academic autonomy as the core, while the State continues to prioritize investment in high-quality higher education institutions - a very suitable orientation. He also frankly acknowledged a number of challenges in the governance structure, especially the operation of the university council. According to Associate Professor Dinh, the resolution will create a legal corridor to remove bottlenecks, and at the same time needs to be concretized into laws and policies soon to quickly enter life. He expressed his hope that the State will increase investment in education, especially in basic sectors, thereby building a solid foundation for sustainable development; at the same time, affirming that to create the pinnacle and quintessence of national education, the leading role must still belong to the State. Participating in studying and implementing the resolution, even online, is considered by many officials and party members of VNU as a valuable opportunity to grasp the Party's spirit and guidelines, and at the same time unify actions. The VNU Party Committee has directed its subordinate party committees to develop specific action plans, linked to the characteristics of each unit. The spirit of studying and implementing the resolution will continue to spread widely, creating high unity of will and action throughout the entire political system of VNU, contributing to the successful implementation of political tasks in the new period.
